We used mineral oil on them when the fridge was full and the chickens were in OT mode. I use mineral oil on wood cutting boards so I understand that sealing the egg but I guess veggie oil for the fridge would work. I saw a post where they said soybean oil was best but it was a 5 week test.

It's why duck eggs stay fresher as do farm eggs as their shell is more dense

I am going with the rub them in beeswax technique. LOL
