Actually I am on a KCBS team (Smithwick sponsored  ) and we do the
KCBS WCBQ contest. I'm just a grunt but I have BBQ connections I never had because of it.

Oh really one of my best friends ever is a KCBS judge and one of there best. Travels the country judging Q. What team he would know he knows everyone it seems.
