And to the surprise of NOBODY, GRRM confirms that Winds of Winter will not be released in 2018. Instead he is releasing a 1,000 page book about the history of the Targaryan conquest or whatever.

I know this much, I'm not spending a damn dime on a new book that obviously took away a crap load of time he could have spent on finishing WoW and the 7th book. Sorry George, not going to happen.
