I don't know if that porn was "normal" in the 70's. But there weren't that many people watching porn videos prior to the VHS explosion in the 80's. Sure, a few were going to X-rated theaters. But I would guess that most people looking at porn in that era was magazine based. Of course, the magazines had various genres just like today.
But really. Kids have no idea how lucky they have it today.
I do agree that these stories get more national attention than they used to.
