Not really. Your bank will have a paper trail of all ACH transactions as well. But I hear you on the principal of it. Just tell them to blow it out their ass. See what they do. Property management companies are pure scum most of the time. They bill for things they know damn well they can't or shouldn't bill for.
For example, house my GF used to rent had a rickety old wooden garage door. 30 years old. The thing broke and came off it's hinges because it was old and dilapidated. They claimed she hit it with her car and caused it to be like that. So they installed it with a brand new metal garage door and billed her the full amount. Not only did she not hit it, but even if she did, she doesn't owe the cost of a brand NEW garage door anyway. She owes the cost of a heavily depreciated garage door, not $2,000 for a brand new sparkling one.
I looked up case law and provided to them showing it. I even got them in writing to confirm have given tenants a "carpet allowance" when they move out and have to replace the carpet, you know, because carpet wears down and when you move into a home the carpet only has so much useful life left. They STILL didn't care and kept billing her despite no evidence that she even hit the door or owed the full cost or any cost of it.
