I see what you're saying though. Selfishly I'd love to see Malik back just to have some stability in the backcourt and someone the young guys can lean on.

Yeah, I totally get why he's doing it and that he feels 100% ready - it's just nice having the option to be able to retreat if things don't pan out. Vick will probably need that backdoor, even though Self is publicly doubting that. Probably a play for Romeo.
