I didn't get into the first two seasons, but I really like this one. The flashbacks in three different eras make it intriguing. It took about 1/2 the first episode to get to like the black detective. I just found out he's the actor in The Green Book, which I haven't seen but heard it's good. My wife and I always watch ID channel, so this is right up my alley.
My only experience with Arkansas was about 1976, my first wife was from Tulsa and we were driving on I-40 going from Savannah, Georgia to Tulsa. I didn't want to get gas in Memphis because it was busy and it was late at night, so I kept going. As I got further west there wasn't many, or any options for gas. Finally at Ft. Smith I pulled off the interstate and ended up right in a downtown area. The only place with lights on was the police station. There was one cop by himself sitting behind a desk, I said I need gas bad. He said, federal law requires gas to be available every so often on the interstates. He said, how much do you want, and I said $10. He asked for the money and gave me a key. He said go across the street and unlock the pump and get your gas and lock it back and bring back the key. That's my biggest memory of Arkansas. I did like Tulsa a lot.
