Maybe he improved under a real Seconday coach? Dude has all the raw tools needed to play CB, maybe Emmitt Thomas isn't the right guy to coach the secondary anymore?

He'd probably be great if you could still play bump and run, tight man and mug guys at the line like you could when he played.
I don't think any of the defensive coaches have done a good job of adjusting to the modern game.
