I was chasing my arch-enemy through the streets of Kirksville. I got beside him on a two lane, one-way street and swerved ahead in front of him (my motivation being to stop him so I could drag him out of his car and kick his ass).
Now, in the movies, when this happens, the other vehicle stops before hitting your car.
But real life ain't a movie.
In real life, you cut in front of the other vehicle, and IT HITS YOU. And it's your fault. And you just happen to be directly in front of the POLICE STATION. And you have to pay to repair the prick's car. And your insurance rates go up.
Of course, the following week I did get the guy out of his car and beat the shit out of him, in front of all my friends and all his friends, so that certainly took the sting out of it.
