Alex Smith has been more of the same mediocre QB the Chiefs have been trotting out there since Martyball became a thing, sand the Montana years.
Which is what many of the early critics of considering him were afraid of.
Some look at the past five years and see a needed stabilization of a franchise. I see five more lost years.
Unless Alex Smith delivers on the promise of the first five games of 2017 and plays with some guts and wins a SB, that's all it will ever be to me.
