That being said, his cap number is crazy good this year and next. But then he's a free agent at the end of 2019 and you're facing both of your starting CBs hitting the market. They're both under 25. And they're both damn good.
He's going to be worth a 1st, he's going to likely cost you a shit ton of money and the CB you just traded Alex Smith for will probably end up walking so you can retain him after next season.
I say pass. This team either needs to retain Steven Nelson, make a bargain CB get and rely on their coaching staff to coach them up, or draft high. Probably two of the three of those things.

Hey, but Peters...
Was hoping to get some people chiming in on that. I don't think the Jaguars are dumb enough to trade him, but who knows. Maybe he's as much an issue there as Peters was here. I'm always leery of a team trying to trade a guy like that with years left on a rookie deal. You'd certainly have to give pause similar to the Peters' situation.
I'm fully on board with going CB high. I think there are some players there that would fit but they may be a bit green, so you almost certainly have to entertain the vet option seriously.
