Agreed. Klingon episodes in TNG and DS9 were always some of the best episodes. It was cool to watch what they did with ceremonies, behavior, and ritual. And while they spoke through the universal translator in TNG and DS9, the Klingon words and phrases that did pop up were never annoying or putrid to listen to.

Nearly ever Klingon scene I watch in Discovery tempts me to fall asleep. All of the crazy ****ing lunatic warrior charm of the 24th century Klingons is nowhere to be found.

If that's what they're actually supposed to be like, then **** that alien race. And **** the show, too.
