I'm curious since we're roughly 20 years apart, I mean other than growing up in a football house, aren't your friends more likely to be gaming/netflixing over sitting there on Sundays watching commercial after commercial with some football mixed in? Sometimes I find myself thinking "this is a waste of my time" especially with Smith under center, if Mahomes flames out I am not sure I will stick with the NFL much longer as my pleasure/pain ratio as a Chiefs fan has not been kind over the decades.

Older, but may not know shit either
You are correct. I know children's nonprofits are struggling with this issue too. Kids have a lot more distractions and video games is a huge one. It's impacting most sports, but football has to be the most concerning. The NBA has embraced younger entertainment. Most owners are courting entertainment gurus like Jay-Z and Nelly to make the game more relevant. Jay-Z for example completely changed the music, liquor selection, and VIP experience for the Nets and it was very well received. MLB has done a fantastic job embracing new media which is key for young multitaskers. Their streaming is crushing it, and the MLB Network is doing fantastic. The NFL has done none of those things, and worse, they've made the game less accessible to young fans because games are too expensive and many families don't want to spring for a dish. That coupled with the concussion issue, and I think the NFL could be in some real trouble. They need new ideas. Unfortunately, every idea they come up with puts $ above fan experience and access. And their TV deal and streaming options are downright awful.
