It's been discussed ad naseum on this forum. Those that want a QB at #1 understand there is a good chance he busts. If he does, then in a couple of years the Chiefs will be in a position to try again. If not - jackpot!
The Alex Smith purgatory of 8-8 to 10-6 every year means probably not good enough to go to the SB and not bad enough to get a good shot at a franchise QB. We've seen this movie before and know how it ends.
