The Yankees drafted John Elway in the 2nd round when he was 20 years old. Elway was drafted #1 overall by the Colts and was shipped off to Denver, where he singlehandedly took them to three Super Bowls. Once a team was actually built around him, he won two Super Bowls, for a total of five appearances. He's also in the Pro Football Hall of Fame as well as the College Football Hall of Fame.
To even mention Geno Smith in the same breath as John Elway is ridiculous.
