I really like Jones, but he’s not a guy to explicitly trust beyond the contract year. As has probably been cited before here, Nate Tice has done work on his run fits and the evidence is he load manages himself. Implies he’s a guy whom a new contract could affect. He has a lot of reasons to be worth it regardless but that’s a real concern for a guy on a third contract.

I would like to see some incentives wrapped into the deal, but that reality may be difficult. I could see Veach giving him close to $30 a year which would include hitting $4-5 in incentives each year.
