I met Steve Levy a few years ago in Seattle when he was calling a Seattle/Denver pre-season game. I was in town for business. I completely forgot his last name. I saw him and thought that he looked familiar and at that moment he looked right at me. i just blurted out, "Hey! You're Steve from ESPN!" He said, "Yes." I told him I loved his hockey coverage with Barry Melrose and thanked him. Shook his hand and left. From that 3 second interaction, I would say he's a nice guy. I'm glad he's calling the game for my favorite football team, the Kansas City Chiefs, although truth be told I would rather it be Kevin Harlan, who is my favorite announcer for my favorite football team.
Haven't seen Orlovsky do a live game but based upon his studio analysis and his twitter feed, he's a solid addition to that lineup.
