The SEC after Georgia just hasn't been impressive at all. Bama obviously hasn't been dominant Bama... Tennessee was fun for a little while and then failed spectacularly (the USC game was like Tenn's season).
The league seemed to keep coming at you... not just Alabama, not just Georgia, but the really good LSU teams of the past with some good depth of ranked teams that would generally play well in their bowl games.
Seems like in more recent years it's just another league, but with Georgia and Alabama being far better than any other league's 1 and 2.
