Once we make another move to bring in a veteran DE, I’d expect our pass rush to be significantly improved by adding a vet, Leo and George.

I’m super excited to see WGJ and Leo destroying Russ, Herbert, Allen and any other QB that thinks he’s going to gain yards on the ground when nobody’s open due to our outstanding secondary.

We’re in for a real treat, guys.
I've mentioned this before but when you look at Chenal's sacks, almost all of them are 'hustle' sacks. Plays where he was in the flats, the QB didn't see a guy and Chenal turned upfield to bring him down.

You'll see far fewer of those at this level. The rest were interior blitzes and while I think we'll see a handful of those, Niemann and Sorensen, for all the things they sucked at, were actually fairly effective interior blitzers.

I think we may see a little improvement there from Chenal over that group, but I don't think it's going to be some massive improvement. Chenal isn't going to be Micah Parsons or Von Miller out there. My hope would be that over time we'll see him used in a similar manner to Bruce Irvin in Seattle, but that's going to take a little time and I don't think we see that this year.

If our sack numbers improve, it'll be on the backs of the secondary. They'll just have to be able to hang in the receivers pockets another half second or longer this season. Because I actually think we could see a decline in overall pressure rates. Those pressures we do get will just need to play up a bit w/ an improved secondary.
