If this is real and not a joke: there's something else at play here. Either the guy has broken quite a few controllers in his day, the wife has figuratively ripped the man's testicles from his body, or the guy is just a lazy asshole.
I dunno what it is, but an important (and very interesting) piece of the story is missing here for it to get to this point.
