Honestly I think it was a total power move on BOB’s part to remind the team “who’s boss.”
Now he has a full scale revolt. Great work, BOB!
I thought Watson was being slightly overrated last year and said as much on the offseason. He was labeled a Top 5 QB but I think the stats show he’s really on the cusp of being Top 10. The sacks/hits he took and how much he relied on Hopkins really stood out to me (there were times where Hop was getting over 50% of his total targets). I know that difference doesn’t seem huge, but I think there is clear separation from QB’s like Pat, Wilson, Rodgers. I also think Murray, Burrow and Allen’s ceilings are in that tier, but Watson I think might always hover in that “very good” second tier.
That trade could end up being a franchise killer.
