All I’m saying is, good QB’s are fine while you have them on a rookie deal, but after you pay them it makes things WAY more difficult when they’re not great/elite.

It's definitely more difficult, but so much of it depends on the coach and front office. I don't know that I trust the Texans FO, I think BoB is a good enough coach but they seem to be in disarray in the FO.
As long as the Chiefs have Andy and Mahomes they'll be ok and be right there. It's just that it is gonna get a lot harder once he's making what he'll make.
