One of the most brilliant people I know is still a Christian. When I asked him about evolution or geologic time scales his response was better than nearly any I have heard, "I'm not so arrogant that I can assume how God would create the world. A day for them is not a day for us. Evolution, to me, appears to be a beautiful way to create life."
In short, he said he isn't a reeruned ass that walks around thinking a shitty translation of a shitty book written by shitty men 2000 years ago has the "real" answers to the universe.
Besides, if god or gods were real, they would have made Patrick Mahomes on the first day. The fact that he wasn't born until 23 years ago proves how ****ing stupid religion is.
