So when could KC do "virtually nothing" against NE?
KC pretty much moved the ball at will on NE, the difference in the first game was KC was 2/5 in the redzone. I don't see that happening at Arrowhead.

Is reading comprehension a problem in Kansas City?
You didn't start scoring TDs until the 2nd half, when we played a lot more Cover 2 to try to protect the lead.
In the 1st half when we ran our usual Cover 1/Cover 3 defense, along with some Cover 0 w/ amoeba fronts, the Chiefs offense couldn't score a single TD.
