KC fans hate Neil Smith because he was a beloved career Chief going to a rival. Broncos' fans hated Kennison (I guess, maybe loathed is a better word) for wasting a roster spot, quitting because he wants to retire and then resigning with KC two weeks later.
It's hard to get too wrapped up over a guy with 14 career receptions as a Bronco.

He's not much beloved now, and he had better have known that was going to happen when he chose to defect to the team we pretty much hate the most.
