Ah, so it's just between the two of you? I get it, that's what we do too. And yes, we always write-off home improvements throughout the year as "Christmas". Like the water heater I'm going to soon get for Xmas...

I'm just cheap that way I guess. That being said, when my son's SO finally gets her SCUBA certification (busy college kids!!!!), my Christmas gift will be something awesome..
