Either losing an injury prone player sucks because we should've known he was injury prone and now our offense will suffer. Or signing a guy that has no appreciable impact on our offense but costs a TON of money sucks because it damn sure didn't do our salary cap (and by extension a wobbly defense) any favors.
When the BEST argument that can be made here is "well, he wasn't really helping much anyway..." then perhaps we can close the book on the signing. At this point we're just in 'mitigate the shittiness' mode.

NO one knew Mahomes would be THIS good. No one knew he simply wouldn't need the help of a top flight (when healthy) receiver. Is this bad? Yeah. Was the signing, in hindsight, an unnecessary expenditure? Seems like it. Am I panicking? **** no.
