I get the context. I totally get it. I just don't quite understand the assumptions that are driving your conclusions. They actually don't synchronize with the context you're describing (at least as I see it.)
It sounds as though you'd be happier with no hope. But, if you're forced to have hope, you'd rather wait until the Lombardi is all wrapped up and ready before you commit to actual, true, sincere, authentic hopefulness.
