Good analysis as usual George.
I'll start with the obvious, neither Hitchens or Ragland can cover a back and Smith isn't a whole lot better. To top it off, both Hitchens and Ragland either got caught up in traffic or got beat all night long. I think it's time for some Niemann and O'D. Ford was a zero without Houston. I'm not inclined to give him a bunch of cash only to have his stuff beat by a 2nd string tackle.
I'm not going to place all the blame on Parker. He had Gronk's number most of the first half. But we can't continue to have John JAG back there with him and expect a different outcome. Dirty Dan looks pretty good to me right about now.
We all knew the kid would make mistakes, but that pick in the endzone was a killer. Couple that with at least 2 sure TD misses (Hunt and Hill) and that's the game, Brady magic be damned. To his credit, he put the team on his back in the 2nd half and turned FGs into TDs. It just wasn't enough.
Bottom line is we can't continue to give up an average of almost 29 points per game and expect to go deep into the playoffs. It seems to me we've been there before. Whether we stay with the 3-4 or change to a 4-3 or even something else isn't the total answer. Bob Sutton needs to go, period.
