Drafting a young QB hurts the entire idea of using cheap QB to surround your team with talent. You’re wasting half of the contract bc of Keenum.

According to OTC, if Denver trades Keenum in 2019 they'll only have $3M worth of dead money and it would save them $18M in cap space. If they cut him they'd have $10M in dead money and free up $11M.
Either way, if the rookie shows he's ready in year two I'd have no problem cutting Keenum if it came down to it and eating his dead money.
