The GIFS of Smith not seeing wide open receivers is now famous. I think a lot of the misses will go away with Mahomes. He trusts himself to keep plays alive, and he has full confidence he can make throws anywhere on the field.
I just hope he is supported with a competent defense in short order...

The vision is OUTSTANDING. Reminds me of vintage Charle's ability to see and anticipate the open lanes( on the rare occasions that we had a decent, blocking O-line for him ), and amaze you with his natural talent.
It's one thing to not give up on a play, but it's an ENTIRELY different thing to not give up because you are actually SEEING multiple possibilities in those precious two seconds, and then have the ability to deliver an astonishing strike/reception while running sideways and staring down defenders
in the opposite direction of your intended target.
The talent is just off the charts, and we're only getting started.
