LeBron didn't join a made team. He didn't join a 73 win team, and he didn't join the team that eliminated him from the playoffs. Yeah, he went to a team that had some advantages, but what are the Cavs or Heat w/o LeBron? Borderline playoff teams. The Warriors w/o Durant won a title and then won 73 the next year.
I know people get off on hating LeBron, but he just averaged 34-12-11 while shooting the highest percentage of any regular and he was his teams' best defender.
He's still the best player in the world. By far. Just like Jordan was the best player in the world in 1988.
