Wisconsin was just boring as hell for years, but of course was also part of one of the best tournament games in years against Oregon. When Michigan has been good in recent years, they've been fun to watch. And of course no one is going to ever underestimate Izzo in the tournament.
The perceived styles and strengths/weaknesses of conferences can take a while to die... it took years of B1G football being terribly overrated before everyone seemed to catch on, and people were still talking about them the same way when OSU won the NC. Same for basketball in the B1G and Big 12 and elsewhere.
