People who say this don't seem to understand they sound every bit as stupid as the person saying they met lizard people on a UFO.
You don't agree there are Lizard people in UFO's. You don't agree that they actually experienced what they say they did. Hallucination, mental illness, there are a number of more probable explanations out there.
And that makes sense.
But then you say "but by golly if
I see it, well, that makes it real."
No, it doesn't. By your own argument it just means you've now hallucinated or become unwell yourself. You've become the same unreliable witness you don't respect now.
Our known senses are very unreliable. We can manipulate them ourselves and we do every day. When we watch Alex Smith throw an interception we are not actually watching him do it. We are not there - we are not at the stadium - Alex Smith is not in our living room. We have manipulated light and sound to make it
appear that we are there.
Imagine how real that game might look 6,000 years from now...
