Will you be getting a 3rd dose of the COVID-19 vaccine?

* If you haven't gotten a COVID vaccine and have no intention of doing so
* If you are anti-vaccine
* If you are just going to stir up shit

.... please just go to the DC and discuss your opinions there.

For those of you left.... What are your thoughts on a 3rd dose of the vaccine 8 months after your second jab? There seems to be very limited data on this at the moment, other than a bit of info out of Israel that shows a 3rd jab of the mRNA vaccines shows an increased level of antibodies. But from my understanding, they're only using Pfizer.

This obviously leaves a lot of questions regarding Moderna and Johnson and Johnson. I'm not even sold on the idea of a booster being needed for all ages.

What are your thoughts?

I’m 67, I’ll get the booster dose of moderna in December, unless information comes up before then saying it’s not needed.

Rainbarrel 08-22-2021 04:56 PM

I hope it makes my ass look big.

DanT 08-22-2021 04:57 PM

I got my second shot of the Moderna on January 30, so I'm expect to get the third shot soon after it becomes available.

At this point, I feel like "I don't know" is my best answer. I wouldn't think a booster would cause any harm. I do think for the older population, it really is a good option.

I just want to see more data I guess.

Most likely, but I haven't decided yet. I've got four months to decide.

Sure, I'm not scared of vaccines as they have proven good over their existence.
I've been shoving fast food and microwaved goods in my body my entire life...
I keep a cell phone on my side all day long.

If I die, it's going to be to some of that shit.

No, I regret getting the 2nd one. I have a phenomenal immune system, never get a flu shot and only had the real flu twice in my life (I'm 42). Should have just trusted it to begin with.

ROFL

Didn't mean for it to be, just being honest. That 2nd Pfizer ****ed me up for 3 straight days and I've felt a bit "off" ever since.

Congrats on your phenomenal immune system (and your “mammoth penis”). But why do you regret having gotten the second shot? Replace “flu” in your statement with “Covid”. You’re still good with that?

Thanks, I enjoy them both. I covered the first part of your question above.

As for the second part, yeah I'm good with a 99.75% survival rate.

Why the hell not?

Hell my Mom vaccinated me for Small Pox when I was born in 1976, well after that was a thing, so I figure I might as well keep it going

Chiefspants 08-22-2021 05:33 PM

I'm waiting for Novavax and will likely get that as my third once it's approved.

It's probably an order of magnitude higher now that you're vaccinated, actually. ;)
