I could see it working. It's pretty close to a handheld chicken and waffles.

But why?

I would rather drive to a Popeye's for their chicken sandwich and not be able to get one over trying this thing.

If you made the waffles sweeter, flimsier, and greasier. Oh and covered them in glaze. I see what you mean, but this sandwich would be a total mess after one bite. It also just sounds gross.

it might be worth trying if a reputable place made something like that.

I smashed this Donut Burger at some sports bar in Sioux Falls. It was ****ing epic.
