Bucs fire their DC
Mike Smith - C - Free Agent
Bucs fired DC Mike Smith. LBs coach Mark Duffner is expected to take Smith's place. Smith is the first scapegoat for the collapsing Dirk Koetter regime, though a richly deserving one. Running antiquated, vanilla schemes, Smith's defense was getting gutted for 440 yards per game, a number that would be by far the worst in the league if not for the Chiefs. Smith's unit wasn't good in 2017, either, and it's fair to question why he was brought back in the first place. The game has passed Smith by. Maybe we can hire him.

LOL
And let the "Why can't we be more like the Bucs?" chanting begin. FAX |
At least the author is honest.

Firing Sutton would send a clear message...but because we are 5-1, there's no way in hell it'll happen. Worst case scenario, the defense continues to suck.

Can’t wait to hear Reid tell us Berry is day to day on Wednesday and that he’s making great progress.

I think it would be a good idea to fire Bob Sutton, frankly.

LOL.
We almost, ALMOST, had a defense bad enough to let this guy keep his job. But nope. Bring him in for a look? |
