If this Dorsey is clearly committed to BPA, Chance Warmack, OG, 'Bama
Now, before I'm crucified, I say this only because this Dorsey has said he drafts the best player available.
Chance Warmack, the left guard out of Alabama is filthy. I mean, he's Will Shields filled with Mel Gibson's anger on the field. I've watched a bunch of film on this guy recently and am just more and more impressed with his ability to push defenders up the field and get to the 2nd level in run blocking as well as his ability to hold blocks with bull-rushing DTs. Disclaimer: I'm fully aboard the draft Geno train. I know it would be against common knowledge to draft an OG #1 overall as well. I'm more posting to see if anyone else thinks this is a legitimate possibility. In my eyes, scouts could definitely peg this guy as the best player in this draft. |
Last year DeCastro was the nasty prospect unlike we've ever seen. Same song, different year.

No, it's not a legit possibility.
The idea that Dorsey is strictly BPA, without regard for team need or positional value, is a myth. |
Dorsey, like all GMs, spouts a solid team-building philosophy when asked about it.
In reality, he's making shit up as he goes. But if you want to believe the BPA myth, that's not how BPA goes or works. |
Oh good Lord, has anyone ever drafted a guard at #1? BPA must factor in the importance of position, thereby eliminating any guards from the discussion.

A QB with a B- rating is more important than an A+ guard.

Hey dumbass, read this thread: http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showthread.php?t=268944
It was made for you and people like you. |
I doubt any GM would go by pure BPA. If they did, we might see something really stupid, like a kicker going in the first round.

BPA only means sticking to your board. Each team has its own method of determining value to build their board. It is goofy to think teams do not take into account team needs as one variable in assigning value to each player.

Out of three seasons of seeing Alabama games in person, Chance Warmack is in the top 5 best performers I saw. (The others: Julio Jones, Trent Richardson, Johnny Manziel, Morris Claiborne). He's ****ing incredible and he's certainly better than David DeCastro. He's the best collegiate Guard I've ever seen in person. He might be the best college offensive lineman period that I've ever seen in person.
That said, anyone drafting Chance in the top 10 is an idiot. |
Last year DeCastro was the best G EVAR!! This year has a clearly superior G prospect, true fans weep tears of their own piss.
