Is this the worst Chiefs season ever?

At least in recent memory...I'm not old enough to remember the seasons of the 70's and 80's.

And it may be too early to tell since there's almost 2/3 of the season left to play.

But I can't remember a Chiefs season where they come into the season with such high hopes with the return of playmakers that had season ending injuries in 2011 and what seemed to be at the time a more stable coaching staff.

But then to completely shit the bed in epic proportions.

Getting blown out in just about every game we've played, having not led in a game at any point in the season, and on pace to smash the NFL record for most committed turnovers in a single season.

I don't think I've ever had so much hope for a team going into a season and for it to completely backfire. I mean I'm not sure it can get any worse at this point, and may be the reason why I didn't really care at all about the game today.

Maybe it's just getting to that point where the Chiefs are making me not care anymore.

2008 was pretty awful.

Every season is the worst season ever. This football team is ****ing Groundhog Day starring Bill Murray as Scott Pioli.

MatriculatingHank 10-14-2012 09:02 PM

Cheer up. It's gonna get worse...

True but there wasn't as much hype going into that season like there was going into this season.

I mean doesn't that make matters worse?

Demonpenz 10-14-2012 09:06 PM

Bowe and Baldwin can do some things. Seems like there were games with Chambers and Smoosh Parker that were worse

Chiefnj2 10-14-2012 09:07 PM

Who would have thought that fans would miss Muir calling the offense?

New World Order 10-14-2012 09:07 PM

This season is worse than 08 because of the effort. I remember Herm's team that year atleast played hard, these guys just la de frickn da up and down the field

cdcox 10-14-2012 09:07 PM

Seriously, with our QB situation, I didn't have any hopes for post season success. Going into the season I was just marking time. This season is one of the best possible outcomes, because I lost all confidence in Pioli between his doubling down on Cassel and wagering his career on RAC. The malpractice has been exposed, and that is a good thing.

Yes.

We had silly expectations that are being completely and hopelessly shorted.

This team is worse than even I had anticipated.

At least these days you have the Internet where you can commiserate with fellow fans and engage in gallows humor. It can kind of keep you interested, to see how nuts everyone goes.

In the 70s and 80s, it was boring because you just had the bad football.

Bugeater 10-14-2012 09:08 PM

Only if everyone keeps their jobs.

I guess. To be honest, I thought they would be better but knew they wouldnt be all that great because of Crennel. I thought Cassel would play better. Good thing I'm not a GM.
