I agree,if it was released on cassette it's prolly old school.

I do own a 12 inch vinyl record of "Ill Communication".

I think that when the Beasties released that, they were throwing it back
to an even earlier time.

There is nothing "old school" about hip hop.

Thats where the term came from really. lol

The Beastie Boys definitely do that stuff. They like giving nods to old references and acts, too.

I'll post one more. Kind of a weird video but it was one of my favorite hip hop songs when I was young. Still is I guess.

Biz Markie was great. I was looking for an old Big Daddy Kane song "Just Rhymin with Biz" but I couldn't find a decent one. It's one of the great early rap songs. Big Daddy Kane was outstanding on it.

Okay, I'll actually post more.

DAS EFX is a great group<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/VRl78By1ZqA&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/VRl78By1ZqA&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
