I saw Southland Tales. It was ok in that it parts of it were pretty creative, but I thought the whole Patriot Act style political theme was pretty weak. Yeah, yeah, yeah, big brother is watching us and trying to control society. It's been done before and been done better.
It seemed like he started out with a good idea but it just devolved into the same old bullshit dressed up.

Rolling Thunder with William DeVane and Tommy Lee Jones,70's flick but it doesn't get much better for a revenge flick.

Death Sentence with Kevin Bacon.

Great movie. Just like what Jaws did for the beach, Rolling Thunder does for garbage disposals.

What? No Punisher?

Would The Outlaw Josey Whales count as a revenge movie?

Now that football season is all but over I'll be diving into my 2nd passion of watching more movies, anyhow last night I went back and rewatched the 80's flick To Live and Die in L.A. with Willem DaFoe and although I made it thru it that film does not hold up well at all.

I really like that movie. The interstate chase scene is particularly cool.

heh, i watched "Streets of Fire" again a few months back after about 20+ years.

Kinda of funny. Very dated, yet it does have a certain coolness about it.

Dafoe was a great bad guy and whatever happened to Michael Pare? He was so cool in that flick.

Oh I agree great chase scene and really overall storyline,it just felt almost over-the-top dated wise and does not hold up well in my opinion.

Streets of Fire was very cool,at least as I remember it,I just wished I could find that opening song by Ry Cooder because it's not on the soundtrack or any of his other albums that I've checked.

I watched To Live and Die in L.A. a couple of years ago. It does have a dated look to it, but the story and the ending and the flawed protagonist make it interesting.
