Love this movie.

It's interesting because I just watched The Pianist last night and wow.. what a great movie and awesome performance by Adrien Brody.

The wife bought me that on HD-DVD for Christmas - it's next on our list, along with The Counterfeiters, to round out our Holocaust-fest.

Watched it last night. Pretty average, the pace was pretty much the same throughout and not much action or high drama. It was pretty disappointing considering it looked good during the trailers. I wouldn't say it was bad, but it wasn't great either. It was very slow to start and didn't speed up much past that to a climax. I was pretty much waiting for it to be over and hoped for a decent ending or something, the word "meh" comes to mind.

Rotten Tomatoes gave it a 57%.

I told you it wasn't high-action, but a morality play.

I know. The last two were new and we wanted to watch them... added Schindler's list just because it's a great movie.

I didn't expect HIGH action but it did have a few decent spots, definetly more about thinking than action and things like that. I didn't like Micheal Clayton either though and alot of others loved it, but that movie was boring, atleast this one kept me interested.

I'm just givin' ya shit. "Holocaust Fest" is a rather interesting turn of phrase.

It was a fairly pedestrian story but very well executed. All credit to the actors and editors there.

Particularly with a Christmas tie-in.

My wife refers to it a "Depression Fest '09".

Requiem For A Dream

Wow. I forgot how brutal this movie can be. Not sure whether to applaud it or hate it for existing.

Incredible.

Old Boy was just released on blu-ray so I may give it another watch soon. Quite ****ed up but also excellent.

Oh man, that would be awesome. What a great movie. Have you seen the other movies in the Vengeance Trilogy?

ZootedGranny 01-06-2009 02:31 AM

Saw Los Cronocrímenes aka Timecrimes tonight, and really enjoyed it.

It's a time travel movie mixed with a little dark comedy. It's full of faulty logic and it falls victim to the same thing all time travel movies do, but it was one of the more entertaining movies I've seen in a while.
