If the board falls the way I think it might, I kind of want TJ Hockenson in the first
He is Kelce 2.0
Imagine two Travis Kelces on the field; good luck defending that... I am fully aware of the fact our defense needs an infusion of talent, but damn; I really like this guy... All that said, if DeAndre Baker or Byron Murphy is still there I'd snap either one up in a heartbeat |

Chiefs need defense and more defense. |
I think Fant is more like Kelce, but Hockenson is the perfect compliment with his ability to block and his work in the short and intermediate areas.
I’d honestly be happy with either one and Irv Smith too. Still hoping a defensive player is BPA though. |
If defenders start flying off the board before 29, I expect a trade up anyways
|
I’d be more concerned about shoring up that leaky pass protection. Patriots exposed the O-line and Mahomes to a degree. Only 1 guy can catch the ball at a time. How about protecting the league MVP? TE would be a luxury pick. Go defense early or O-line if there is a day one starter identified.

Don't want to lose the 5th round option. |

It just seems like a better option than either taking a 1st round talent at a position the Chiefs don't need or using a 1st round pick on someone with 2nd round talent. |
I think it would be a great pick. If Kelce were to go down it really hurts the Offense as it stands.

Give me DK Metcalf.

The 5th year option is huge in terms of keeping a player cheap, or using it as an arbitration buyout number etc. |
