What's the ceiling for Robinson?
After his incredible performance yesterday I was just wondering where does D-Rob go from here? I'm trying to research WR's who have kind of developed super slowly and then exploded after three or four years in the league and the closest ones that comes to mind are Adam Thielan and Julian Edleman. What's interesting though is Robinson In his last five regular season games has FIVE Td's & 285 yards from only 11 receptions.
It's gonna be very interesting to see how he gets on over these next three or four games whilst Tyreek is out because he looked like a number one yesterday and he's still only 24. |
He can be high end #2 receiver in this system. Wouldn’t be surprised if we let Watkins go because of him.

Next week it'll be DAT. We've become the Pats. And our Pat makes every WR look good.

Mahomes made Albert Wilson look elite.

He showed he can play last week. It was his first big game, hard to tell he wasn't involved in the offense all that much the past 2 seasons, maybe he's a late bloomer. He did Moss that guy for that one TD before the half ended, that was awesome.

I dont know, this guy just been balling out every preseason. Especially He was Pats favorite target during preseason when Patrick wasnt the starter. And he was dynamic on those games. Just never got a real chance until now. Alex smith couldn't get him the ball his early years anyways

As a WR, how could you not like playing for Mahomes?
He would be like your holy Mecca if your a WR. |
I like the guy. However, I feel like his role is to basically do go routes and scramble drills. Great role player for mahomes. Not sure how good he'd be somewhere else.

His ceiling is what he did yesterday.
Seriously. That’s his career game. |

Robinson did do his part yesterday. He got himself open, but most of that yardage was on Mahomes. That's not a slam on Robinson at all. There just aren't many QBs who would even attempt most of those throws, much less get them there on target. Put another QB behind center yesterday, even a good one, and we're probably talking 3 catches for 40 or 50 yards. Of if he still ends up with 6, maybe 70-80 yards. Not bad, but nothing to really bat an eye at. I think the odds are that somebody is going to do this almost every week, and it might not be the same guy very often. Hell, we should've had 3 guys over 100 yards. Because Hardman went off, too. That long catch that Shady held on is a big deal too, I think. It's on tape now, and that's one more guy teams clearly have to worry about. And in fact, although I don't watch all-22 or anything, it looked to me watching the game like the reason Robinson kept getting 1-on-1 coverage is because the safeties kept sliding over to help bracket Hardman. And he was able to get behind them anyway. |
Joe Horn maybe? He wasn't that good his first couple of years here, but his last year he was coming on. I was upset when the Chiefs let him walk just when he was finally looking like a good receiver. I wasn't surprised to see him do well in Nawlins. But, I never imagined that he would have a HOF worthy career.
