Well, been doing final prep at my Mom's and our places since 6am. I'm beat, but I feel we're prepared as we can be. Time to relax a bit before it gets to us.

Everyone in the path of this beast be safe and stay smart. Check in with us whenever you can.

Glad to hear BRC.
Hopefully the car stays safe too. But if not, you'll just use the insurance money to buy something newer and just as cool. No worries. Keep us posted. |
BRC glad you are evacuating. Always better to be safe than sorry.

One thing that needs to be addressed in a post-hurricane debriefing is the lack of available gasoline. Demanding people evacuate without having adequate availability of gasoline (knowing that most people will evacuate by driving), is a systematic failure.
Activate the National Guard sooner, deploy them to gas stations and issue a mandatory emergency order that people can only fill up their vehicles (no boats, not filling up 10 extra gasoline storage containers, etc.) Gas stations here in Atlanta where I evacuated to are also starting to run out of gasoline. |

I like to track the storms myself. It's amazing how the Euro always moves away from the trends. |
Latest cone. If she doesn't make a very hard turn to the right soon...
