Well, been doing final prep at my Mom's and our places since 6am. I'm beat, but I feel we're prepared as we can be. Time to relax a bit before it gets to us.

Everyone in the path of this beast be safe and stay smart. Check in with us whenever you can.

Glad to hear BRC.

Hopefully the car stays safe too. But if not, you'll just use the insurance money to buy something newer and just as cool. No worries.

Keep us posted.

Based on the new models you guys will be fine. This is going to miss Florida you're just going to get some winds and rain along the east coast. Nothing even close to hurricane numbers

I have a degree weather related and it's always been a hobby of mine. I've known what it's like and that it could switch at any time but that is a huge shift from the previous models.

Also, in reality I wasn't wrong, I did say east coast just put the hurricane in the wrong spot

One thing that needs to be addressed in a post-hurricane debriefing is the lack of available gasoline. Demanding people evacuate without having adequate availability of gasoline (knowing that most people will evacuate by driving), is a systematic failure.

Activate the National Guard sooner, deploy them to gas stations and issue a mandatory emergency order that people can only fill up their vehicles (no boats, not filling up 10 extra gasoline storage containers, etc.)

Gas stations here in Atlanta where I evacuated to are also starting to run out of gasoline.

You did hear about Houston and the worlds largest refinery being shut down?

The issue is not a lack of available supply, it is too many people hoarding the supply by filling up more than their vehicle... i.e. filling up 10+ gasoline storage containers.

I like to track the storms myself. It's amazing how the Euro always moves away from the trends.
