Just terrible. They were in perfect position to turn everything around with their draft position and available salary cap. They needed to get a great offensive-minded coach and pair him with the top QB they can get in the draft. This was the key moment for new ownership to change everything.

But no, instead they bring in a defensive-minded retread coach whose last game of the season saw his team give up 48 points to the Packers.

Something definitely wrong with EB. How they didn’t just promote him says a ton.

You have the #2 pick to draft your QBOTF, a shit ton of cap space, and you go with a DC who lost a SB as a HC after getting a 28-3 lead and who also just got his shit pushed in by LaFleur?

They went cheap. Wouldn't open up the pocket book for McDonald, Slovick, or McDonald. And because of bullshit prima-dona politics (Titans and Redskins GM's came from Sanfran) they ignored Vrabel. They also couldn't announce any coaches next week (SB Week) so they had no choice but to hire another Ron Riveria. Should have probably just re-opened the coaching search after the SB because all of their candidates were abominations (they interviewed Detroit Lions defensive coordinator and Eric Bienemy).

Based on his coaching record, it looks like he's a lock to get them to .500.

No more, no less.

Dallas dodged a bullet, now they can go get Vrabel to run their defense before someone else snatches him.

Should've handed Ben Johnson a blank check.

He gets to play Dallas twice so that's fun I guess?

But same old same for Washington.

Don't know why I'm so annoyed by this hire. It probably just ensures that a QB who might have been great, now will not. Even though it's in the NFC, this is good for us.

What the heck is Bienemy doing in these interviews? Does he come in and start clipping his toenails or something?
