Mahomes "This is where sitting behind Alex smith helped me, he taught me how to cope with loses"

Rain Man 10-14-2018 09:44 PM

Mahomes scored 40 points. Mahomes has no blame. Zero. It's on the defense and the referees.

Pat played like garbage for like the first 28 minutes of this game and we STILL put up 40 points and STILL could have beaten the Pats in a game they didn't get called for a single ****ing penalty (bull****ingshit).

The Pats need to bring their A game to beat us. If we bring our A game for 4 quarters, we rout any team in the league not named the Rams.

I'm not so sure we don't rout the Rams. They have hardly looked like world beaters the past two weeks.

Mahomes is fine. Andy punting the ball with this defense is a problem.

Chiefspants 10-14-2018 09:44 PM

Eh. The recipe to win in Foxboro can't be praying that your QB can lead your team to 44 points.

To me this feels like when people blamed the defense for our loss against the Steelers.

hometeam 10-14-2018 09:45 PM

**** that, we put up a 40 burger and lost. Its only happened something like 13 times in the history of the NFL.

Mecca 10-14-2018 09:45 PM

How can a defense be that ****ing bad.

Rasputin 10-14-2018 09:45 PM

It's all FAX fault

Nixhex 10-14-2018 09:45 PM

The Patriots never punted. Not once.

RealSNR 10-14-2018 09:45 PM

Definitely.

The good news is this is his 7th start as an NFL QB. Those mistakes will start to fade away.

In any case, I'm okay if this is how we had to get our first loss. Riddled with injuries (including two guys on the OL) on the road against Belicheat just as that team is finding their stride. He got his mistakes out early, and did a ****ing amazing job mounting an attempted comeback.

Much better than putting up a WTF? kind of loss to the Raiders or some shit like that.

My answer is honestly the same when people blamed Alex for the Colts playoff loss. You just can't blame the offense when they score 40 points. They could have done things better sure, but you just are rolling the dice when you give up 43 points. You cannot expect the offense to be absolutely perfect and score 50-60 points. That is asking a lot of Mahomes, Brady, Manning, any of them.

Yep. When your d can't force a team to punt once and give up 43 pts this is all on them

As far as Pat goes, we all know he is going to have his struggles yet he put up 40 pts.

kcpasco 10-14-2018 09:46 PM

Andy Reid= my defense is fine.

Huh? Pat's played like garbage the first 28 mins of the game? You mean they played like garbage and we're still up on us 24-9. What does that say about us?

Deberg_1990 10-14-2018 09:46 PM

It’s a team game. You can’t just blame one player.

Yes Mahomes made mistakes but The defense couldn’t make the stops when it truly mattered.

Team loss.
