Not a real surprise the D fell off a cliff when Dorsey basically didn't draft a defensive starter in 4 years.

He drafted Marcus Peters in 2015.

It's anyone's guess as to why the FO thought the secondary wasn't worth addressing this offseason.

They did 'address it'. In their mind Amerson, Fuller, and Nelson were the answer. Berry was coming back... I think they've been wrongly banking on Murray developing, but that hasn't happened. They probably felt it was adequate on paper.

Except Amerson was an unmitigated disaster, Sorenson got injured, Murray blows, Berry hasn't played, and we were left signing a mediocre nickle back who's actually OUTPLAYED our two starting nickle backs.

Because every CB on this ****ing defense should be a slot guy.

Yeah, I think I'm with you - I just don't see the Chiefs angle here. Relying on practice squad champions on the defense felt straight out of the Vermeil playbook.

It's like when we got all excited about Terrance Copper and Bobby Sippio on offense. Sure, we "tried" to address the offense, but if that's our measure of trying, then we need new talent evaluators in our FO.

Mahomes didn't give up over 500 yards and 43 points.. granted he missed some throws early and was clearly a little rattled. He settled nicely and that was the difference.... but if the defense could actually get a ****in stop and force a punt

He did give up 7 points on the first INT. The other 36 points is on lousy defense though.

Yeah that was definitely on Mahomes, i forgot that they returned that one to the 2-3 yard line but putting the entire loss on Mahomes is ridiculous

Mahomes has built a fire in the belly of this fanbase not seen since Montana hit town.

KC fans BELIEVE we can make a SB run.

Not will, or are likely, but CAN.

This is the best offense in the league with the best young QB in the league. We are in year one.

Perspective people...

In it's own way, even this loss fits the ever growing legend of Mahomes.

Of course it takes Brady at home and 43 points to give Mahomes his first loss.

Because get used to it NFL. He's ****ing awesome.

Just stopped by to say NO, its NOT all on Mahomes

He hung 40 on the golden boys at home, on a day when the refs didnt see fit to penalize their shitasses even once

And the refs. Zero penalties on the Patriots. Lol

LMAO @ the **** stain from Nebraska living in the shitastic state of Ohio, pretending to be a Patriots fan!

"When little Johnny ****stain was 12, he decided to devote his life as a sports fan to Tom Brady and the Patriots because they were the bestest football team ever"!

Once little Johnny found out that he didn't possess the prerequisite amount of douchebag necessary to be a true Boston pickle-puffer, he began his campaign of overcompensation at football message boards throughout the land!
