Most if not all players will be Chiefs fans, so they would obviously be in very high demand. Do you like the idea of keeping rosters up to date or would you rather do a fantasy draft? Etc etc.

I can definitely come up with the people, whether they are all CP member or not. There’s a sweet spot of people to have for these leagues. 32 is impossible to maintain but you want to have enough to fill out most if not all of a playoff field.

I’m personally hoping to have 10-15 players. Those types of leagues have worked best in my history of playing, provided everyone is committed. Eliminates a lot of the nagging leg work of having too many players but is enough to be competitive.

Even if we have a low number we can always play in the same divisions since it sounds like we're planning to do an online draft.

Also, I know a lot of these leagues go crazy with rules and sanctions. That’s not my plan because when you do that things become too dicey and restrictive. There will be a few, but not much.

I’m sending out feelers for some guys who I’ve been in leagues with before. Once I get to double digits, we’re going to for sure do the league.

Draft would probably be on a Friday or Saturday night.

Also, we need to have a draft for team selection, as well. I would set the draft order FIRST... that way it's part of the thought process when selecting teams. Also would we be using current owners\coaches? And are we playing as the owner or the coach?

We would play, but if you can’t play a game it’s not a big deal. If it’s against CPU it will just simulate and if it’s against a person, your opponent would likely play the CPU version of your team.

Odds are we would advance the week every 48 hours. That’s the only way I could do it myself and gives a good chunk of time to get games in.

With Madden, the fantasy draft order will be completely randomized once everyone has their respective team. I’m not sure it’s possible to set the draft order manually. I would leave the owner/coach option open to whichever people want to choose for themselves.

If you guys need to buy the game or an online subscription, I would do that ASAP because once this thing gets to 8 people I think we’ll go forward with the draft. ThaVirus would make 6 and Kcrockaholic will make 7 whenever he sees all of this.

It's going to be fun to do an actual rookie draft with real people.

If you know how the Madden draft classes go, a lot of the best players are rated in the 5th or even 6th round.

There are going to be 5th rounders taken in the 1st round in human vs human drafts. LMAO

Yup… I have been playing in 30+ man online leagues for years…

Drafting is always one of the most fun aspects because humans are much better talent evaluators…

We had a draft one season where three MLBs projected in the 5th, 5th, and 6th all got drafted in the 1st round.

One was Superstar Dev, one quick and the other normal, but they were all studs.

I was in a big league about a year ago, and all I wanted to do was identify a QB prospect and go up and get him via trade in the draft.

I was the Chiefs. Went all the way up from the 20s to pick #1 and landed an 83 OVR superstar QB who ironically excelled outside the pocket with a strong arm. I gave up a lot, but it was well worth it.

The other guy ended up landing shitty picks with the ones I gave him.

I agree with both of these.

72 hours between games means we'd still be able to finish an entire season within 1 or 2 months.

72 hour advance would take about a month and a half to finish a season, depending on how fast playoffs go and if some weeks go by quicker than the 3 days.
