Yep sounds like "North Dakota", that shit can be a blast no doubt and I've done my share over the years. Life challenges can also contribute heavily, heard about a homeless guy who seemed incredibly intelligent and when questioned about it simply stated a drunk driver waxed his wife and two daughters and he was just going to drink until he died to forget all the pain.
